Designer Joanne Clark created this sweater for her friend Cleo, who likes to work on small,
portable pieces of knitting. The entire garment is worked in narrow strips then
knit together with a 3-needle cast off. A quick knit sweater with worsted weight
yarn primarily in stockinette and garter stitch. This sweater is designed to fit loosely and will fit a wide range of body measurements. Instructions are included to adjust the width of the underarm panels narrower or wider to customize the fit to your body if you wish. Following the pattern without making adjustments, the finished bust measurement is 50 inches and the finished length: 24 inches. It
is suggested that you have two 24 inch circular needles in US size 7 so you can
do the 3 needle cast off. You will also need a needle at least 2 sizes larger
for the collar cast off. Spare circular needles in the same size or smaller can
be used to hold the panels until all are done and ready to garter stitch together.
You could also use regular stitch holders. Six skeins of Marr Haven worsted weight yarn plus one skein in a contrast color will make the full sweater. Kit includes your color choices of Marr Haven worsted weight yarn and pattern $64.50. . |
