This is such a cute design, it can be worn by any age plus makes a great gift. The The original design shown on the left is by Suzanne Higgs. The actual crochet directions are written by Brigitte DeMaster.

Brigitte also included directions for a variation of the scarf with longer, less full tendrils. A picture of the variation is included in the pattern along with this original photo.

The scarf is made with worsted weight yarn (about 272 yards) and one size J hook.
