Jill wanted a wrap that she could wear without worrying about keeping it on her shoulders, yet didn't want to rely (or keep track of) of a shawl pin. The Button Wrap design does that plus has the interest of a large center cable which also gives an interesting diagonal line, flattering to any body shape.

The wrap is knit with 3 skeins of worsted weight yarn on size 9 US needles and a cable needle. The cable design is a 12 row repeat with buttonholes placed in the last 3 sets of 12 rows so even a beginner can become familiar enough to knit them. See my version below.

This is a 1 page pattern which will be emailed to you as a pdf attachment.

Button Wrap Pattern is $5.00

This pattern may also be mailed to you in a kit with your color choice of 3 skeins of Marr Haven worsted weight yarn. Kit is $30.00.
Shipping is charged for Yarn and Pattern Kit

Color:

My version of Jill's Button Wrap is knit with Marr Haven Burgundy Heather worsted weight. I miscounted the rows before knitting the button hole rows and made it 4 inches longer than directed.

That actually worked to my advantage because I could wear it higher on the neck and still be smooth across the back.
