Felted Mini Christmas Stocking and Mittens are good for children or adults to learn felt making since there are no sizes. They use a small amount of fiber, so it is an inexpensive way to begin felting. Also an excellent way to help you use left over feltmaking fiber. Included are full size patterns for a pair of mini stockings and mini mittens. Nice Christmas tree ornaments, package or table decorations; the stockings are also about the right size to create footwear for the American Girl dolls.
A good way to learn about felting items true to size. Instructions $5.

Traditional feltmaking uses water and soap to entangle fibers into felt. The felting needle is a technique of felting the fiber dry.
Needle Felting Directions, Little Teddy Bears uses only the felting needle. No water, just wool and a felting needle; two felting needles are included. Not suggested for children as the needles are very sharp. Instructions $5.

More needle felt supplies are on available on this page. See the first bear and bunny made by Peggy Fleming on the Your Pictures first page.
Felting needles are helpful in wet felting projects for finishing work; closing a seam, filling in thin spots and accurately placing design details on a finished piece.
