This book by Anne Einset Vickrey is an introduction to the feltmaking method of dry needle felting. Designed to guide the beginner through simple projects, also has useful information for the experienced needle felter. Five specific projects increase with difficulty as you work through the book.

Specific information about the various felting needles, techniques and fibers is included. Detailed instructions are given for flat and sculptural felt techniques, as well as combining wet felting and needle felting. Great photos showing the steps involved for each technique.

Contributors to the needle felting book are Patricia Spark and Linda Van Alstyne.

Pat's specialty is pictorial felt. Linda's is sculptural pieces. The techniques they developed are included in detail with pictures. A sample of Pat's work is to the left. Two of Linda's figures, totally dry felted, are to the right.
