An inexpensive way to begin Needle Felting, you can afford to try it to see if you like it!
Great Gift idea as well.

The kit includes Introduction to Needle Felting with basic information about felting needles. Explanations are included of various uses such as, flat pieces, doll or animal sculpture, forms for hats, etc and adding needle felt to other fabircs.

Also included are: 3 Felting Needles; one 36 gauge triangle for general felting, one 38 gauge star point which has more sides and is faster than a 36 gauge and is more resistant to breaking than 40 gauge, plus one 40 gauge triangle for fine fiber and detail. A Foam Pad for a work surface, 8 1/4 inch by 5 inch, 2 inch thick, two Wood Skewers and Basic Instuctions for a Coaster.

Fiber is not included with the kit. Supplies suggested for one coaster is 1/2 ounce of roving. The Mystery Roving shown below is easy to use and gives some variations in wool colors.

Mystery Fiber is a Pure Michigan Roving.
It is primarily Fine Grade Wool, some dyed and some natural colored and may have Alpaca, Llama or Mohair blended with the wool.

The dyed wool is mostly green but there is some red mixed in. Each bag is slightly different depending on how it came off the carder.

Little Teddy Bear Felting Needle Directions includes two felting needles and gives good beginning instructions for sculptural needle felting.. Not suggested for children as the needles are very sharp. The cost is $5.00
