The newest needle felting pattern using dry wool and felting needles designed by Suzanne Higgs will let you create one of a kind designer style purses and bags for a variety of uses, including a wine tote. The seven steps are fully written out with graphics. See close-up pictures below. Instructions are $5.

You use a 10 in. x 15 in. x 2 in foam form, 6 to 8 ounces of fiber, roving, top or batt and the felting needles. She uses a multiple needled tool since all the work is flat. In about 3 hours you are ready to go out and show off your new wearable art.

choose: 36 gauge triangle for general felting.
38 gauge star point has more sides, faster than 36, more resistant to breaking than 40.
40 gauge triangle is for fine fiber and detail.

1/07 So many customers have reported they prefer having a different felting tool for the different sizes of felting needles. We are now packaging the 8 needle tool with 38 gauge needles. The 3 styles of felting tools will now each have one set of needles in different sizes. You can still remove and/or replace any or all of the felting needles in each tool so if you want to use less than the tool is designed for, it is okay and easy to change. The prices are still the same.
