The name Ruana comes from the Spanish and is a wrap style woolen garment. This is a classic style worked in hairpin lace!

The ruana is easily made by crocheting strips on a Hairpin Lace Loom, you simply hook your strips together to create this gorgeous piece. The pattern gives directions to use sport (dk) weight or worsted (aran) weight yarn. One size, 46" wide, 60" long.

Detailed instructions are given about making strips on the hairpin lace loom and how to assemble your ruana as you make your strips. A tip is included for counting your loops on the loom.
