Needle Felt Samples: I used the rectangular needle felting form with the needle felting tool to make a base of natural colored fiber needle felted, then needle felted multi colored roving on top.

For the far left design, I spread the roving in a thin horizontal layer with a thin vertical layer on top to show how the colors blend and soften, The 2nd and 3rd designs were made by taking individual colors of five colored swirl roving and needle felted each color separately. The 3rd design was made by spreading the multi colored roving widthwise.
This is a sampleof wet felted Merino Tencel fiber. The Tencel really sparks a piece. The background on the left is wet felted by Pat Spark's 'pre-felt' technique. The flower design was needle felted after it was dry.
